The adventurous little working of one 4-car Tangara every 40 minutes has
been cancelled.

One rumour says that the Co-Ordinator General of Rail / Acting Chief
Executive SRA personally canned it because a frequent bus service plus an
infrequent train service would be confusing for the customers.

Another rumour says that latching up the trip on the trailing D car for the
wrong-road trip back to Central was a problem.

A third rumour says that a crossover at Cleveland Street and signalling to
allow trains from the inbound Airport line to terminate at Central platforms
22/23 is now on the drawing board.

I have no idea how many person-hours of meetings went into composing the
instructions for Special Staff Working that was aimed at "keeping the trains
moving" rather than at "serving our customers"!

Somebody should take a bus ride to Domestic over the weekend to see whether
a Station Access fee is charged!
