I found out what keep this train late most of the time is the curvy yet
steep Adelaide Hill area. Sometime some other train failed at this
region and caused delay to Overland.

Late arrival and departure of XPT will cause Overland delay as well. On
number of occasion Overland either divert into platform 2 or wait at
Footscray for XPT to clear the line. Sydney-Melbourne XPT should be
rename "Overdue" these days, the train rarely ran on time lately.

Present TT have padded between Ararat and North Shore Geelong and
between NS Geelong and Spencer Street.
