(NSW) NLK/P/UY Louver Vans

Hello to all

Having been in Albury the past two weekends, I was suprised to see
approximately 20 louver vans of the above clasifications sitting in the
yard with recently/freshly painted bearing couves.

A closer inspection (from a footbridge) revealed that much of the major
component work had also recently been done on the carriages (because
all the dates for stuff like PV and other inspections had 2002 & 2004
dates

On top of this, most if not all had been re numbered (but not re-
clasified, so their not ex-NR) and had a triangle shape applied to the
place they have differnt shapes on the carriages ID plate.

2 Questions: 	1. What work have Freightcorp taken or got to justify
major maintenance to these vans, and
		2. What do the different shapes on the ID plates mean.

EX An vans in the yard had Circles on these plates.
