[NSW] S 54, Defective Indicator Board

To all.

I'm not sure if there has been any past discussion on this.
Yesterday at Redfern Station at about 11:30am I spotted S54 going DOWN
and the rear end driving carraige had an indicator board with black
tape over it.
You could manage to see

"Trai-------est"

which I assume is
"Train Under Test" on the indicator board.

Does this set has a damaged or defective indicator board like T69 with
the red tape and "Dapto"?

Anyone who can manage to get a picture of it (Unfortunately I couldn't,
even with my camera around, especially getting off the Tangara and
running to the platform to get a shot!!!) that would be greatly
appreciated.
