There is a park running along the alignment of the line from Hughesdale
across Neerim Road towards Dandeong Road. There is some signage in the
area indicating the history, and some of the signs are shaped like the
old suburban station name boards..

When I was young I walked (or rode on my bike) over that formation
often, Hughesdale to East Malvern. The old level crossing over
Dandenong Road was easy to spot back in the early 60s (it's at the
bottom of the dip, between Poath and Murrumbeena Roads - I think there's
are a car yard on the north side now).

Of course, all that is from memories of almost 40 years ago (the best
sort :-) and I don't live in the area any more, so might be totally
wrong.

Cheers...JD
