Scenes of LVRF to the rescue



G'day all.
Went up to Hawkwsbury River this arvo for what I thought would be a
qiet hour of videoing. Climbed the mountain overlooking the HR bridge
and sat in the shade in a cool breeze, reading a mag and waiting for
the 49 on the Cockatoo Run and LVRF freight no.4168. Shortly after the
49 made its appeareance lone blue EL63 crossed the bridge in superb
light. Then, much to my surprise after climbing back down to the van
and driving past HR station we found thefreight sitting in the little
used loop. A quick phone call revealed that the up XPT had failed just
over a km up the bank and that the LVRf train was going to push it to
Cowan. Then began a hectic race to find a suitable spot along the
steep grade to record the sight and sound of this rare operation - and
what a spectacle it turned out to be.  A few images from the day's
