Reggie (aka Ralph Longthorpe) was heard on 3AW this morning talking
about ornithology (bird watching).
According to the broadcast (just after 0500) he was entertaining guests
at an overnight coffee club.
"Coffee, nothing stronger" said Ralph!
Has Reggie left the railfan hobby or is he just expanding his interests?
He used to call Keith McGowan (Monday to Friday early morning host) on
3AW but was banned for some reason. Maybe it was something to do with
his safari suits!
I believe at one stage Reggie was the "mascot" for the Victorian
railfan movement. Who is the current mascot?
