Re: NRC off the road again



Heard on ABC radio news there was a collision due to buckled track - not
obvious how that could happen on a single line, unless it was at a loop and
one train derailed, fouling the other track??

Which raises the point - are track circuit clips carried by trains anywhere
in Australia? (i.e. a pair of rail-head shaped metal spring clips joined by
a wire, so that they can be immediately placed across an adjacent track that
is fouled to  place auto signals to "stop" to (hopefully) protect the
obstruction?
