Yesterday's SMH contained the following item on page 4 "Signal problems halted
traffic twice on the troubled CityRail airport link yesterday. CityRail
spokesman Mr John Lee said a safety device in a signal box got out of synch
with computer software about 6.45 am and kept sending out signals for trains
to stop. Trains were running again by 9 am, but were halted again between
about 12.30 pm and 2 pm while hardware problems with signals were repaired."
Anyone have any details of what was out of synch?
