[NSW-Journal] Blue mountains trip today

To all ausrailers.

Today had a trip to the Blue Mountains.
First off was Valley Heights, but before getting to the Loco Depot, I
got lost around the place.
Walking along Railway PDE. then onto the other side (Via footbride) at
the Highway, to Hawksburry Rd. Then back (In a loop kinda route).

At Valley Heights, spent abit of time there, taking pictures, waving to
the Coal Train comming past (with reply!) and just hanging around.
I had completed everything which took me 2hrs before leaving (A Kind
falconbridge couple giving me a lift) to the station and making an
unplanned trip to Mt. Victoria.
On the platform, I didn't know how to use a ticket machine there (being
use to a booking office), a kind man, a couple of years older than me,
came up and helped....just in time for his UP service to arrive.

First time beyond springwood, I was inpressed by the scenery, but that
got a little dim shortly afterwards as very thick fog rolled in!
--
Sooner and later, I finally arrived at Mt. Victoria, spent about an
hour around the streets, taking pictures (NOTE: It was similar to 'snow-
like' conditions here!) and having a bit of a chat with some locals
(Very kind people indeed!) before returning to the station and spending
15mins taking pictures of my train with the fog around the bend there.

I managed (as the signaller was outside smoking) to ask the Signal Box
signaller if I could take a look inside.....I did!
Spent around 5mins in there admiring the controls, and also having a
discussion with the controller about the indicator board and how the
majority of them are replaced with computer screens.

I left the box on my way to my train on the other platform and to the
trailing end of my service, I had a long chat with the guard of the
train.
I then went to the front, and had another long chat with the driver,in-
which I sat in the cab about it!

(This part cut-out, I can tell by email to those interested?)

Anywayz, the conclusion is, who wouldn't ever agree:

-Blue Mountains residents are probably the most kind people you can
find in Sydney! (The kind couple giving me the lift, and the teenager
helping with the ticket machine? and also one other man with an offer I
refused at first)
-Mt Victoria residents are such friendly people, as I nod to everyone I
walk past there, nodding back, asking for directions from some who had
long explanations, even an elderly woman who owned the craft store was
willing to pose for me camera with her store!
-Mt Victoria is such a beautiful place! the Fog had created a real good
effect with the image (I got on film!)

If you don't agree with one or all, than speak out in a nice
manner....please.
