Did you try out the new ACELA service in the Boston-NYC-Philly-DC
corridor? That is meant to be at European standards, or close.

Did you see the new trolleybus system in the capital, Quito? How was it
being affected by the volcanic eruption or has that died down now? Last
I heard from Quito the volcanic ash was clogging the air vents on the
trolleybuses (and clogging the noses of Quito residents).
Any info from this rarely visited (from Aus/NZ, and meaning Ecuador
Bill, not the US) part of the world much appreciated.
