All the driving scenes were on the normal side of the road for right
hand drive vehicles. The scenes in Melbourne were all depicting some
degree of chaos, even early on, with roads at least partially blocked
by debris etc. There was, on the whole, very little self powered
traffic of any sort in view.

The show was made a while back, probably when the Ws were still in
traffic.

I thought the science aspect was much more believable than the book or
film, but I'm not a weather expert and I bet that someone interested
in that field could probably pick holes in the scenarios they way we
do about the rail aspects. Such as who would be bothered keeping a
steam loco in adequate day to day maintenance to allow running a 3
hour schedule for handful of passengers just few days before everyone
is expected to die of radiation sickness.
