Believe it or not, AN class can top 150kph!

GSR uses BL class is because they are cheaper to hire then the rest.(DL, EL,
NR etc)

BL class and Overland carriages probabily can reach 130kph with a bit of
work. (an idea from VLP N class locos and N class coaches will be upgrade
for 130kph running on Geelong line soon).
