[VIC] Geelong line today (24-04-01)

G'day!

Due to the flooding, police and the RACV are advising that commuters
travelling from Geelong to Melbourne (or Vice Versa) to use the train as the
Princess Fwy is under more than 50cm of water (and most of the smaller roads
are flooded as well) the best route for motorists between Melbourne and
Geelong is via BALLARAT!!!

VLP trains will be doing very well and I have heard that extra carriages
have been put on. Just wondering where the extra cars had come from, I
thought VLP were short on cars as it were?? Have they hired from WCR or are
other services cut down?

Let's all hope that VLP do this properly and no unforeseen delays happen to
them. If everything goes smoothly, it's possible that previously car bound
travellers will continue to use the train regularly!!
