In return for higher fares, station staff will be pleasant, courteous,
helpful and well dressed, according to a report in today's Herald - see
http://www.smh.com.au/news/0104/20/national/national7.html for details.
Does this mean they'll have to wear ties?
In the event of force majeure, are they exempted from these requirements, so
they can be rude, slovenly and abusive?
Trains will be washed once a fortnight - do passengers have to follow this
requiremement?
And lo and behold, extra tracks between Turella and Kingsgrove,
electrification Dapto to Kiama announced, extra tracks to Marayong - haven't
we heard that before? Strangely Epping to Chatswood isn't mentioned.
