XP2000 troubles (22/9)

Getting to be stale news, but XP2000 was leading into melbourne on ST1
last Friday morning when it started to have problems. ST4 was an hour late
departing Melbourne, and XP2000 died completely by Albury. XP2013 was
struggling, and only just made it into Cootamundra. ST4 was 3 hours late
by Yass Junction, by which time XP2000 was able to provide hep but not
much else.

Talking to the SM at Yass Junction, Countrylink was apparently discussing
hauling the XPT from Goulburn in case they broke down completely,
particularly in the Sydney area. That would not have made them very
popular.

Anybody know what time they got to Sydney, and in what shape?
