Yep we use 1/2 pilot staffs in CTC areas in NSW to allow the train into
a single line section if the starting signals fail. One half is at one
end and the other half is at the other end and they screw together to
form a complete staff. The other staffs in use in NSW are Ordinary
Train Staff and Miniature Electric Train Staff.
