* On the northern line today at around 8.45am, there was no huge increase in
patronage
* almost all trains arriving at Central from the west and north (platform
16) and from the South and Bankstown (platform 17) were arriving 3 min early
from 9.15 to 10am (undoubtly due to the very lenient timing)
* passengers were quite "well behaved", ie. not much running towards closing
doors
* in the afternoon, trains departing Central also ran early or on-time.
Northern line trains from 4pm began to get a little packed in the middle
carriages.
* Good to see the entire fleet of Olympic Park Metro (from Central to
Olympic Park) trains being T sets, mostly from sector 1 (only a few from
sector 3).
* Also the half-hourly North Sydney to Gosford via Strathfield was done by G
sets. The peak hour ones from 4pm (all stops from Strathfield to Hornsby)
were mostly T sets rather than G, as most would have ended up at Gosford at
around 3pm. Again due to the very generous timing these services ran on
time.
* With rolling stock allocations, much of the S and R sets from Hornsby have
changed hands and gone to Flemington instead. One sighting is S69 on black
plate and also blue plate!!! (hehehe Eric will love this)
* A 4-car L set has also appeared in sector 3 (!!!), but i couldn't catch
the number. It was attached to a sector 2 S set. Sighted at Central at
2.15pm
