Mea Culpa!

Since the destination roll in question is still in Melbourne, this is from
memory …

First, the KEWs. The variations KEWs on destination rolls in 1969 were
KEW DEPOT
KEW JUNCTION
KEW P.O.
EAST KEW
KEW-COTHAM ROAD.

The bogus destination was KEW via KEW DEPOT, KEW JUNCTION, KEW P.O., EAST
KEW, KEW-COTHAM ROAD and FAR KEW. It was displayed in Victoria Parade late
at night in September 1969.

Other destinations included

PETERSHAM in Sydney style with the green cross, shown on W2 548 at a time
when Brisbane 548 was at Petersham in Sydney
SHRDLU JCT
SPERCIAL
FOOPBALL
RACECURSE
HIGH & HIGH STS CNR
MT BUGGERY (to be shown on the bridge at Northcote)
Hong Kong in chinese script
LOFTUS
Hauptbahnhof
GEORGE ST and CIRCULAR QY
VALLEY via ANN ST

I last saw this destination roll on X2 676 in 1971 … is it still around?
