Nah, when I was living in Melbourne, I thought that whole area was Olympic
Park (used to watch the Storm a fair bit, the only real footy south of the
border (!!!))... Melbourne Park was El Presidente Jeff's (who!!) great idea
to symbolise the tennis centre, or so a guy at work told me.. the Rod Laver
Arena is only one part of the whole area, much like Stadium Australia is
only one part of Sydney Olympic Park.
