Let's hope the You Know What Railway That's Been Proposed More Times Than
the Channel Tunnel doesn't completely obliterate large sections of the NAR
when it is finally built. I read in Engineers Australia that 150 km of the
NAR alignment will be used, presumably meaning the old track will be
disappeared. Anyone know *which* 150km? Hope it doesn't include Larrimah -
Birdum. Not that I've ever been there, but it would be nice to at least
preserve whatever is still there. In EA there was a picture of a munitions
dump somewhere beside the NAR. I hope things like that don't vanish before I
have a chance to see the NAR.
