New Swanston Tram schedules came into operation on Sunday 08/10/00 on routes
1, 19, 22, 55, 57, 59, 68 & 82. New TT booklets will be available in a
couple of days. New schedules for routes 3, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64, 67, 69, 72, 78
& 79 should come into operation in the first week of December. These will be
the last TT booklets to have the Swanston Trams logo on them, as from the
next TT change M > Tram is going to adorn every thing that used to have a
Swanston logo. Bayside is shifting to M > Train. Both companies will operate
under the official name Metro, but all the public will see is M > Tram & M >
Train. The Baysider ticket will be replaced with a similar product which
will be valid on both M > Train & M > Tram services. Holders of current
Baysider tickets will be issued with a replacement ticket. More details as
they get leaked :-)
