The load ended up as 11 vehicles / 480 tonnes.  "Full Goods" for a single 42
from Valley Heights to Katoomba is 400 or so tonnes.  That explains two
locos.

The price (in dollars and loss of face) of a failure on the main line is
high.  In fact 4201 shut down briefly at Lawson on the down.  Does that
explain three locos?

BTW, with a total fire ban on Sunday, GM22+GM27 were expected to substitute
for 3801 on a trip North.
