Re: New form of rail transportation



My only input Peter, is people seem to react with little excitement to above
ground transportaion systems. One example may be the monorail at Darling Harbour
( there may be other reason for it's dislike as well). Don't forget the hooha
about the above groud power lines proposed through east Gippslan country ( let
alone in the suburbs ).

Above ground is unsightly, people may oppose in these aspect regardless of the
"benefits".
And really is unlikely. Connex and Bayside have  committed to "normal" trains,
thus putting and idea well into 20year plus in the future. It sound to be too
complex in transistion. Better to replace the system entirly with one form, or
another......
