With a tax concession of over 100% you are effectively not asking for
tax relief, but a subsidy.  It is sadly typical of the Australian
private sector to lean on government for such things.  And such
concessions are open-ended and often a huge drain on revenue- did
anyone say 'R&D Syndication' ? :-)

Report last night you'd have to shake your head at the way we treat
human beings as contrasted with the ease with which industry welfare is
handed out.

Of course there is the issue of road v rail subsidies, but one suck of
the sav at a time, methinks.
