Not rumour fact, they are in fact 9 tonnes heavier 3 tonnes per car, due to
cameras, equipment etc being installed. Obviously this affects the braking
i.e., none at all with rheo/EP, not too bad with airbrake, just means a
heavier application needed. This is the reason they took so long entering
service because they couldn't get the braking right.
