SLR - Extension construction

Work is comming along very quickly, overhead wires are now rapidly heading
west.

The strangest item seen however is a 'home brew' locomotive the contractors
are using on balast trains.
Inspired by Vlines RTL I assume.

See
"http://www.sleeper.apana.org.au/railway/slr/images/Extension Construction/05_May/dscn2622.jpg"
(And image 2623 as well)

Are light locomotives (like 73 class) now so rare that railway contractors are
modifying trucks ?. The truck is balasted, under the compressor is a stack of
rails....

I've got more images to process yet, but the SLR extension should have no trouble
opening on time provided they don't have problems with the systems testing. The
infrastructure work is really getting along.
