AFAIK, the gold tint on the V set windows is metallic. Not much gets out of 
them. This comparison was sought by travelling on two different V sets. One 
didn't seem to have the gold tint windows, one did. My GPS worked in one 
(without the gold tint) and didn't work in the other.
