Yes, I can help with two shots taken 20 years ago of
the Mount Newman Mining Monsters. :)

The photos were taken around sundown as four Centuries
with two others 2/3rds back, wheeled 240 cars out of
Port Hedland on their way to Mount Whaleback.

None of those very functional but _ugly_ Pilbara cab
rebuilds back then.!

The lead unit had just come out of the MNM shops fresh
from an overhaul, the smoke, noise and vibration
through the ground as they thundered east under the
Great Northern Highway was something you can not
adequately describe in words.

Caution, I was using Kodachrome64, it was late, and my
Nikon film scanner does not like Kodachrome too much,
but still worth it.

I will work on them when I get the time and maybe Tony
Gatt will drop them into the Railpage for all to see.

Keep an eye on your email.
