If this station was to be built, does anyone have any ideas about the style
of the station?

My top two ideas are:

non island station (like St Leonards) - 2 platforms (one up, one down). This
would have the advantage of minimizing delays to normal traffic and it will
keep the tracks straight.

island station (like the Illawarra platforms at Wolli Creek) - 2 platforms
(one up, one down). This would require less things like lifts etc but would
have the disadvantages of requiring the tracks to be slewed and the loss of
the straight run.

Both of these ideas would have links to UWS of course but also the northern
side residential area. A bus interchange/kiss and ride could also be used on
the north side. There would be no space for the larger carparks like at
Kingswood or Werrington. There should be provision for additional platforms
in case the St Marys - Penrith quadrupication ever happens (as is the case
at Kingswood and Werrington).

Here's the controversial bit - NSW's greatest train should stop there in
addtion to the suburban services. If crossovers were placed there, maybe
DrugLink services could terminate there instead of St Marys.

Just some thoughts.
