I'm Shocked!

Hi all

Last night (4/5/2000), there was a fatality between St Leonards and
Artarmon. While all fatals have their tragic sides (train crew, victim's
family etc etc), I was shocked about a couple of things:

* It was only given a one paragraph section in the Friday Terrorgraph
(regular readers of ausrail know my feelings there) and considering it was
the North Shore, these things normally cause "outrage". I wonder if the
Sydney Boring Herald was similar (it is too big for me, it takes up half of
the crumple zone of a V set).

* No mention of it here..............normally a train runs 2 minutes late or
a garbled announcement sees a week's worth of threads.
