The Member for Bendigo East has also called for an earlier train from
Melbourne to Bendigo, arriving before 9.00. There does appear to be a case
given that there is a 5.45 Geelong, and the 7.25 Seymour arrived before
9.00.

Over 100 years ago there was a 6.45 Echuca, which admittedly didn't get to
Bendigo until about 10.00, but indicated that 19th century Victorians
didn't mind early starts. There was also a 6.45 Albury at the same time.
Lots of interesting stuff you can find in Bradshaw's.

About 20 years ago there was a 4.40 Traralgon.
