According to "the age" at least 70% or more of the parts can be made
locally. IIRC engines and transmission system are to be import. They are
the only 2 things local industries aren't capabale of building.

They are the one created this mess. If they did their job properly we
wouldn't waste 825 million dollors. Their party made such a mess in this
state especially with th transport system, a complete repair on City
link would cost 7 billion$(needless to say, bankrupted the state),
Metcard woes are not yet solve.


That's just hope Hillside trains and   Yarra trams's new trains/trams
would have more local contents.
