But there could be more patronage if the timetable was better (like in the
ill-fated timetable that was introduced when the line was opened). The lack
of peak-hour trains from Campbelltown is stifling patronage on the through
trains, and it means that trains to the City have people on them travelling
west, thus taking up seats from City bound passengers. If a decent timetable
was in place, then these people would get the through trains, City bound
passengers would get their seats on the City bound trains, and everyone
would be happy.
