It's a regular thing. I think it goes to Gosford.

The perway inspection train with 'AK' coded observation cars, made out of a
few redundant stainless steel passenger cars. They were converted to
supplement the existing older wooden-body AH and AK series cars which are
probably now out of use or used very little.
The car numbers have been maintained, so with a little cross-referencing you
could work out what sort of car(s) they were before the conversion.
