Yep those Mont parkers know how to stop a train in a short distance,only
trouble is they havnt worked out how to survive the impact....in one piece
(very black humour)

Perhaps FA could argue that ANR was a fairly large monopopoly in its time
and probably was not big enough.My opinion is/was they should have gone all
the way and absorbed all state systems.
Then Johhnie could have flogged it off to  the mums and dads and installed
FA to manage the show.
Imagine 3 pen pushers in Melbourne handleling all the paper work for  the
entire country . (just about manage it I think)

Puffing Billy has announced that passenger figures are down for the
summer,perhaps FA could  get a foot in the door there too.g,d&r
