Yes, several morning ex-Ballarat Sprinters can extend to Ararat (750 or 905
am) . Apart from passenger services is this line (Ararat-Ballarat) feasible
for freight traffic?

On the other hand a daylight Overland service is still needed to serve towns
like Dimboola, Horsham,and some South Australian towns if Sprinter service
can be extended on top of that a daily daylight Overland service to link
towns west of Ararat and Ararat itself with Melbourne and Geelong would
benifit western Victoria regions.
