What you have to remember is that in WA the Minister in question represents
the Country......oops......National Party, say no more.

However if there is a change of Govt here later on in the year, lord save us
and guide us, wait until you see the Labor transport minister in action.....
dear oh dear oh dear.......makes the current TM appear like a Rhodes
Scholar.

Unfortunately the mindset of both major parties over here is that if it
has't got rubber tyres and pounds  the roads into oblivion, it is not worth
considering.
