If you set one side to say, "North Sydney via Central", then the other end still remains blank
doesn't it?

unless it was a remnant from say one day before that'd be arguable. aaah

          So, think about it:  That driving cab would not have been going to Liverpool via Regents
Park.  It may
          have come FROM Liverpool via Regents Park, but it would have been on the back of the train
going
          there.  Which means:  Indicator Control panel at the OTHER end of the train was working,
and the
          destination was set to go to Liverpool.  When the driver changed ends at Liverpool, the
indicator at
          THAT end was defective and couldn't be changed.  They are supposed to automatically blank
when a driver
          cuts in, but many of them don't.
