The only mines in the Western area that still use rail are Baal Bone, Charbon,
and Clarence. There are other mines still operating, such as Blue Mountains and
the one on the Mudgee road whose name starts with a "V" (can't remember the name
now), but they do not rail. There is also SpringVale (on the eastern side of
the Mudgee Road, just near the rail overpass, before the actual turnoff into
Wallerawang), but it supplies direct to Mount Piper via conveyor. To my
knowledge, all other mines are closed.
