Do Silver City Comet DP power vans before fitout with new engines count? The
rebuild eliminated baggage / guards accommodation, thus turning DP's into
"true" locomotives.

No 42 footers come to mind, but HP (?) railmotors ended up as baggage /
guards and pulled a passenger only trailer.
