Train drivers with an attitude like that should be taken out the back
and shot.

If you don't like passengers, get another job.

It says something about the management of Cityrail that they have
drivers like this working for them. If they were serious about
providing a proper service, they would get rid of staff with attitude
problems and while theyre at it, systematically eliminate the causes of
every problem that causes late trains. It might cost money and take
some time, but its worth it in the long run.

This attitude is typical of the mentality of most managers and
bureaucrats and some front line staff - public transport is for
society's losers, if you have a car, why arent you in it, and if you
don't, then be grateful you get any service at all.

We might get pretty ordinary service here in Melbourne by world
standards but from my experience travelling on cityrail and from what
I've read on here, its way ahead of sydney.
