In Melbourne, on the Epping line in the morning we have as little as 3
minute headways on the down after the peak. These services rarely run more
than 3 mins late.
On the Box Hill line during peak hr there are trains in 1 direction on
average about every 1.5 to 3 minutes over 2 lines.

I wouldn't call daily derailments, services cancelled more often than
running and extreme late running little problems at all, in fact, I would
call them the second most major problem that a railway system could have
(the most major being regular fatalities which Sydney doesn't seem to
have). It is a sign that things need a massive shakeup, as the system is
falling apart.
What is the point of running a frequent service if it doesn't run?

Diddums to you, you poor thing, getting paid in the heat while the public
pay to sit in the heat (with no way of opening a door) while the train is
delayed between stations!

What does the language someone speaks, how they look or where they come
from influence the way someone drives. I would say that stupidity in
driving is pretty widespread throughout the races. These comments are
racist, and just what you would expect to hear from the most devoted One
Nation Fan!

So you don't call derailments (no matter how minor), or late running
incidents?

Yes, because a lot of people rely on your (lack of) service as it has
always been there. If you started Cityrail up as a new company now, how
many people do you think would use it?

Put up with it and get over it?? Why should people put up with shoddy
service?? I think that if this continues, people will vote with their feet
(cars/buses/ferries/taxis) and you will find that you have no customers
left to carry. But then again I suppose that doesn't matter with your
Government railway...
