With Incidents like this, the staff get cheesed off as well as the
passengers, because they know there is going to be flack from the
passengers, but what can they do? They are ordered by Operations Control to
do something, so they must. If you have a complaint, complain to whoever is
in charge of Operations Control. Transposing is a common tactic by
Operations Control to get trains back to timetable order - when they do
this, there seems to be little passenger consideration.
