There are two projects which could see a major improvement in the East
Hills line - Speedrail and Badgery's Creek. Speedrail proposed building a
third line from Turella to Glenlee Junction, and upgrade the two existing
lines. If the second airport goes ahead, there is a proposal to build
quadruple track from Wolli Creek Junction to Glenfield Junction to carry
airport express trains.

We'll know by the end of the year of Speedrail gets the nod, but don't
hold your breath on the airport.

It's not that long ago that East Hills was only single track!
