Wegmann Sleeper question

take a look at the upper berth, there is some sort of barrier(I assume
it is not a stair) possibly to prevent passengers from fell off.

I also notice this is a standard for all the 1st class twinette as show
in photo in this page:

Are there any other type of sleeper carriage in Australia having such
top berth barrier design?
