to answer James Brooks question (the original post has expired, hence
the 'new' thread)...
R711 took approximately 2 years to restore.
R700 is thought to be in reasonable mechanical and boiler condition, BUT
(and it's a huge but with restoration projects), invariably, the further
you go, the more problems you find. Given the experience gained in the
restoration of R711, I would think it should require less time to
restore than R711, but again, you never know what will be uncovered in
such a project.
