Ok.
There are no set plans for the targets of the new trains. (If there is I
havn't seen it.) Going on their method over the past 15 years it will
probably be an "M" but having said this the powers that be that lurk on
this NG will probably change it.
There are 4 possible uses for the excess power cars if they are silly to
do a mass removal of the Tulloch trailer cars. (personally I think they
should get the series 1 Comeng power cars and the tulloch cars
"permantly coupled" into an 8 car sets and used on Bankstown circles and
spare sets.) Anyway:

1    4 power cars on 6 car R sets. (Pocket Rockets)
2    Power cars become interchangeable with others for maintainance.
(whats that?)
3    Power cars get converted to trailers (Yuck)
4    3 cars sets (like the NC sets) with potentioal use for all night
services.

I don't think even Cityrail will be so stupid as to get rid of the power
cars in one hit.
