Not totally correct.
The word was that the leading pantograph on W560, 1139 ex Lithgow, came into
contact with an overhanging chain near the new highway overbridge just east of
Linden.  Initial thoughts were that the chain was coming from the construction
work, but I believe that subsequent investigations revealed that it came from
the actual overhead.
Train was going to try and get to either Faulconbridge or Springwood to detrain
passengers, but eventually they were detrained near the Faulconbridge
Sub-Station.  W560 finally limped into Springwood over three and a half hours
late, and was put into the Down Refuge at Valley Heights.  It was followed by a
stream of traffic, including two coalies.
As a side issue, both 7SP5 and 7SG3 ran via the Mountains yesterday.
