Print out this page, rule a line through the political double talk and there
are not many words left.

Firstly the three lines mentioned will be placed in a hat and one draw out.
Political argument is that they could not keep everybody happy.

If Bairnsdale people supported the line in the first place it would not have
closed ..

Many a time I have been at Sale station to catch the 4.51pm to Melbourne and
half a bus load has emptied out for the train, and half of them are
returning from the logging protest and are probably of free travel
concession cards (The excuse is "we are going to Bairnsdale to look for
work)", and the other half are probably on pensioner concession cards (day
trips to Lakes entrance from Melbourne). There aint no profit in that
busload.
